MEET THE CAPTAINS
Alice shared that she decided to try out the summer before her Freshman year and has been playing ever since, so this upcoming season will be her fourth. She shared that she has done a couple Quick Stix clinics with other members of the team. She has also participated in a Total Dutch Club team this past winter and has gone to a few field hockey summer camps. She said she loves field hockey because of the sense of camaraderie that it brings. Over these past few years she said she has made many great friends, and field hockey is responsible for this. Besides field hockey, she is a member of Student Council, works at the Maplewood library, and enjoys spending times with friends. She plans to study Psychology in college and aspires to be a child therapist. She hopes this season is filled with hard work, team bonding, and of course, fun!

This will be Julia's fourth year playing field hockey for Columbia and plays as a defender. She started playing in 5th grade when she participated in a clinic run by the high school. She has also played with the Quik Stix indoor field hockey team and in the Total Dutch pickup league. She's made some of my closest friends playing field hockey and she hopes everyone can get the same experience out of it that she had. Besides field hockey, she also plays softball for Columbia and plays the violin. She said that she is looking forward to having an amazing season with the team this year, both new and returning players!
